The varsity boys basketball team won the Chicago Public League City Championship for the Blue Conference by defeating Little Village with a final score of 70-65.
The game was won entirely by the senior members of the team this year, Jeremiah Carter, Moses Coles, Rashad Jackson, Ahmad Marega, Rae’Qwon Rogers, Larry Watkins Travell Whittington and Caleb Wright, as well as the coaching staff Cam Barlow, Jeff Clark, Sherrod Dockery and Eric Gaines, who were all lead by Head Coach Aaron Wilson.
The tea’s acheivement was covered by the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper both in an online artice and in a print article, if you happened to pick-up a copy of the Times last Wednesday, as this was the frist city championship in Boys Basketball for Bowen High School(as far as anyone can remember)
