Support Bowen fight for funding by David Vance

Hello Friends of Bowen,
We need your support.  The Bowen school budget is now reduced by $1.3 million from our budget last year.  But the charter schools are receiving increases.

Wednesday August 26.
Time- 9:am
Place- Board of Ed. (old sears building).

The Chicago Teachers Union is calling for a protest at the CPS main office before the Wednesday meeting starts. Our public schools need funding not budget cuts.  CPS is not broke. “They are broke on purpose.”http://ajustchicago.org/2015/07/cps-broke-on-purpose/
And several of us from Bowen are speaking.  We want CPS to restore our funding.  We want Baker out of Bowen.
Sincerely Yours,
David Vance
Lastly, I want everyone to pay attention to the fight at Dyett to demand an open enrollment public school. They are now using the “hunger strike” try to keep the school a public school. They want to stop charter privatization and so do we.
